Decide whether the academic credential is comparable to those in Canada and determine the rights conferred by the assessment outcome.
For internal procedures:
- Decide whether the academic credential:
- grants full recognition when no substantial differences have been identified;
- grants alternative recognition with respect to a different purpose than the one initially identified in the application process;
- grants partial recognition when some substantial differences have been identified;
- grants conditional recognition when some substantial differences have been identified but full recognition may be possible if specific requirements are met within a specific timeframe;
- is not recognized.
- Establish the rights conferred by the comparability assessment outcome and how the credential may be used by the applicant.
